This artwork by Fang Chuxiong achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Leopard sold for HKD 24,000.00 (€ 2,902.35) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fang Chuxiong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cat in April this year with an auction result of HKD 42,000.00 (€ 42,890.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fang Chuxiong erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei China Guardian einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Leopard für HKD 24.000,00 (€ 2.902,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fang Chuxiong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cat im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 42.000,00 (€ 42.890,22).
