Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included the work Sketch of Zhangjiajie by Fan Zhibin. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,194.09) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fan Zhibin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sketching at Mount Daqingshan of InnerMongolia, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 195,500.00 (€ 20,127.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sketch of Zhangjiajie von Fan Zhibin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.194,09) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fan Zhibin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sketching at Mount Daqingshan of InnerMongolia beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 195.500,00 (€ 20.127,29) versteigert wurde.
