Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction LATIN AMERICA, which included the work Germinal Geography by Fabian Marcaccio. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,297.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fabian Marcaccio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mutual betrayal #2 in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 25,850.00 (€ 30,573.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion LATIN AMERICA durch, in der auch die Arbeit Germinal Geography von Fabian Marcaccio zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.297,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fabian Marcaccio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mutual betrayal #2 im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.850,00 (€ 30.573,63).
