In June last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Portrait of a Lady by Ewa Juszkiewicz. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 163,800.00 (€ 190,289.01), 37% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ewa Juszkiewicz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a Lady (After Louis Leopold Boilly) in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,560,000.00 (€ 1,453,732.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady von Ewa Juszkiewicz zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 163.800,00 (€ 190.289,01) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ewa Juszkiewicz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady (After Louis Leopold Boilly) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.560.000,00 (€ 1.453.732,18).
