In February 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Topographical Observations: Picture your world, which included the work Barges in the Singel with the Koepelkerk, Amsterdam by Evert Jan Ligtelijn. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,250.00 25% above the upper estimate. Other works by Evert Jan Ligtelijn have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 9,987.50 in January 2002 for the work Loosdrechtse Plassen: het Plashuis.

Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Topographical Observations: Picture your world durch, in der auch die Arbeit Barges in the Singel with the Koepelkerk, Amsterdam von Evert Jan Ligtelijn zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.250,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
