Admittedly, works by Evert Jan Ligtelijn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Loosdrechtse Plassen: het Plashuis in January 2002 with an auction result of EUR 9,987.50.

Die Arbeit A horse at a building site von Evert Jan Ligtelijn kam im März 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.500,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Evert Jan Ligtelijn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Loosdrechtse Plassen: het Plashuis im Januar 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.987,50.
