Auction result well in line with expectations

In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work Summer blooms in a basket by Eugène Petit. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,803.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eugène Petit have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The chase; and Stalking the prey in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 12,069.31).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer blooms in a basket von Eugène Petit zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.803,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugène Petit auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The chase; and Stalking the prey im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 12.069,31).
