In the Old Master, 19th Century & British Drawings & Watercolours auction, the work The Coronation of the Virgin sold for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,029.99) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eugène Emmanuel Amaury-Duval have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait En Buste De Valentine Delessert (1806-1894) in December 2003 with an auction result of EUR 8,225.00.
