The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,735.58), 42% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eugène Emmanuel Amaury-Duval - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait En Buste De Valentine Delessert (1806-1894), which sold at auction in December 2003 for EUR 8,225.00.

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.735,58) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
