This artwork by Eugene Speicher achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in June 2000. In the American Paintings auction, the work Head of a Young Girl sold for USD 9,400.00 (€ 9,848.09) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eugene Speicher; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Babette sold at auction in August last year with the realized price of USD 14,025.00 (€ 13,934.43).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Eugene Speicher erzielte im Juni 2000 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings wurde die Arbeit Head of a Young Girl für USD 9.400,00 (€ 9.848,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Eugene Speicher; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Babette im August letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 14.025,00 (€ 13.934,43).
