Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peonies and Gypsophila 20 x 16 in. framed 27 1/2 x 23 1/2 in. by Eugene Speicher was sold in the California and Western Art Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,088.00 (€ 997.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugene Speicher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Babette in August last year with an auction result of USD 14,025.00 (€ 13,934.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Peonies and Gypsophila 20 x 16 in. framed 27 1/2 x 23 1/2 in. von Eugene Speicher wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.088,00 (€ 997,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugene Speicher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Babette im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.025,00 (€ 13.934,43).
