Auction result well in line with expectations
The work November Landscape by Eugene Speicher was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in New York in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,165.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eugene Speicher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Babette in August last year with an auction result of USD 14,025.00 (€ 13,934.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit November Landscape von Eugene Speicher wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.165,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugene Speicher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Babette im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.025,00 (€ 13.934,43).
