Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Jean de Paris, Fontainebleau by Eugène Cuvelier for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,767.78). This price was achieved in the auction The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, Part 2 at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Cuvelier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Village De Rivière' in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 288,000.00 (€ 210,834.55).

Im April 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Jean de Paris, Fontainebleau von Eugène Cuvelier für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.767,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, Part 2 bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Cuvelier erzielen.
