Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work A view of an Alpine town (recto); A study of a group of trees by a lake (verso) by Eugène Cicéri for USD 375.00 (€ 292.88). This price was achieved in the auction The Scholars Eye: Property from the Julius Held Collection Part II at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Cicéri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By the Riverbank in October 2004 with an auction result of USD 33,460.00 (€ 26,251.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A view of an Alpine town (recto); A study of a group of trees by a lake (verso) von Eugène Cicéri für USD 375,00 (€ 292,88) erwerben.
