Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fête de la Place du Trône by Eugène Atget was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in September this year. The price achieved of USD 1,024.00 (€ 967.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Atget achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme, 1925 in November 2009 with an auction result of EUR 444,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fête de la Place du Trône von Eugène Atget kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.024,00 (€ 967,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Atget erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme, 1925 im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 444.750,00.
