Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2024 Bonhams in Skinner Boston held the auction Prints & Photographs, which included the work Masque Antique by Eugène Atget. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,408.00 (€ 1,230.55), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Atget achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme, 1925 in November 2009 with an auction result of EUR 444,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2024 führte Bonhams in Skinner Boston die Auktion Prints & Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Masque Antique von Eugène Atget zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.408,00 (€ 1.230,55) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Atget erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme, 1925 im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 444.750,00.
