Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Joueur d'Orgue by Eugène Atget was auctioned at Bonhams in Skinner Boston in January 2024. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,048.00 (€ 1,789.90). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Atget achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme, 1925 in November 2009 with an auction result of EUR 444,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Joueur d'Orgue von Eugène Atget kam im Januar 2024 bei Bonhams in Skinner Boston zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.048,00 (€ 1.789,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Atget erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme, 1925 im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 444.750,00.
