Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Striding Figure by Euan Uglow was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2018. The price achieved of GBP 250,000.00 (€ 281,992.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Euan Uglow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Striding Nude, Blue Dress, which sold at auction in March this year for GBP 504,000.00 (€ 573,397.35).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 250.000,00 (€ 281.992,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Euan Uglow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Striding Nude, Blue Dress beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für GBP 504.000,00 (€ 573.397,35) versteigert wurde.
