This artwork by Euan Uglow achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2007. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Nude sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,755.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Euan Uglow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Striding Nude, Blue Dress in March this year with an auction result of GBP 504,000.00 (€ 573,397.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Euan Uglow erzielte im Dezember 2007 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Nude für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.755,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Euan Uglow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Striding Nude, Blue Dress im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 504.000,00 (€ 573.397,35).
