Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work A Collection Of Christmas Cards by Euan Uglow. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 3,027.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Euan Uglow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Striding Nude, Blue Dress in March this year with an auction result of GBP 504,000.00 (€ 573,397.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Collection Of Christmas Cards von Euan Uglow zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 3.027,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Euan Uglow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Striding Nude, Blue Dress im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 504.000,00 (€ 573.397,35).
