Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Bonhams held the auction Pictures and Prints Online, which included the work Mountain River, Glen Etive, 1999 76.2 x 76.2 cm. (30 x 30 in.) by Ethel Walker. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 765.00 (€ 870.34). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ethel Walker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer Flowers in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 16,132.50 (€ 23,206.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Pictures and Prints Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain River, Glen Etive, 1999 76.2 x 76.2 cm. (30 x 30 in.) von Ethel Walker zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 765,00 (€ 870,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ethel Walker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer Flowers im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.132,50 (€ 23.206,51).
