Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Untitled (Square, begin at one corner until complete) by Ethan Cook. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,355.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ethan Cook have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Begin in one corner) in March last year with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 45,434.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Square, begin at one corner until complete) von Ethan Cook zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.355,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ethan Cook auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Begin in one corner) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 45.434,06).
