Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Ethan Cook was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,793.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ethan Cook - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Begin in one corner), which sold at auction in March last year for USD 50,400.00 (€ 45,434.06).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ethan Cook kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.793,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ethan Cook mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Begin in one corner) beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 50.400,00 (€ 45.434,06) versteigert wurde.
