Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mental Blue II by Erwin Wurm was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 18,030.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Erwin Wurm have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fat Car in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 150,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mental Blue II von Erwin Wurm kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 18.030,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erwin Wurm auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fat Car im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 150.000,00.
