Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'En skalbagges begravning' by Ernst Billgren was sold in the Contemporary Art & Design auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 32,000.00 (€ 2,828.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernst Billgren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Ekorre" (Squirrel) in May 2012 with an auction result of SEK 410,000.00 (€ 43,307.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'En skalbagges begravning' von Ernst Billgren wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 32.000,00 (€ 2.828,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernst Billgren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Ekorre" (Squirrel) im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 410.000,00 (€ 43.307,99).
