A top price for Ernst Billgren - as previously expected
In May 2012 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction The Spring Contemporary, Stockholm, which included the work "Ekorre" (Squirrel) by Ernst Billgren. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 410,000.00 (€ 43,307.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, "Ekorre" (Squirrel) is the most expensive artwork by Ernst Billgren that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2012 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion The Spring Contemporary, Stockholm durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Ekorre" (Squirrel) von Ernst Billgren zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 410.000,00 (€ 43.307,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist "Ekorre" (Squirrel) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ernst Billgren, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
