Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ernesto Neto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2020. In the Christie's 100 auction, the work Corp no ninho prumo sold for USD 20,000.00 (€ 18,140.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernesto Neto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled , which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 75,000.00 (€ 60,299.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ernesto Neto erzielte im Februar 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's 100 wurde die Arbeit Corp no ninho prumo für USD 20.000,00 (€ 18.140,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernesto Neto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled beobachtet, die im November 2014 für USD 75.000,00 (€ 60.299,08) versteigert wurde.
