Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Turquoise Shirt by Ernest Martin Hennings for USD 37,500.00 (€ 34,032.13). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Martin Hennings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Summer in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,553,000.00 (€ 1,057,325.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
