Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Laguna Pueblo 10 x 14 in. framed 13 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. by Ernest Martin Hennings was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 20,400.00 (€ 19,761.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Martin Hennings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Summer in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,553,000.00 (€ 1,057,325.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Laguna Pueblo 10 x 14 in. framed 13 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. von Ernest Martin Hennings kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 19.761,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernest Martin Hennings erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indian Summer im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.553.000,00 (€ 1.057.325,71).
