Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hunters in the Canyon by Ernest Martin Hennings was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in October 2020. The price achieved of USD 425,075.00 (€ 364,965.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernest Martin Hennings - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indian Summer, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 1,553,000.00 (€ 1,057,325.71).

Die Arbeit Hunters in the Canyon von Ernest Martin Hennings kam im Oktober 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 425.075,00 (€ 364.965,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernest Martin Hennings mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Indian Summer beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 1.553.000,00 (€ 1.057.325,71) versteigert wurde.
