In November 2016 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Indian Councilman by Ernest Martin Hennings. The result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 47,267.91) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Martin Hennings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Summer in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,553,000.00 (€ 1,057,325.71).

Im November 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Indian Councilman von Ernest Martin Hennings zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 47.267,91) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernest Martin Hennings erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indian Summer im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.553.000,00 (€ 1.057.325,71).
