Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Along The Canyon Road by Ernest Martin Hennings. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 700,000.00 – 900,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 734,500.00 (€ 566,175.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Ernest Martin Hennings have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Indian Summer was auctioned for USD 1,553,000.00 (€ 1,057,325.71).

Im Dezember 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Along The Canyon Road von Ernest Martin Hennings zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 700.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 734.500,00 (€ 566.175,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Ernest Martin Hennings konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2007 die Arbeit Indian Summer für USD 1.553.000,00 (€ 1.057.325,71) versteigert.
