Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still life with flowers and fruit by Erling Ärlingsson was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 18,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 15,500.00 (€ 1,741.10). Admittedly, works by Erling Ärlingsson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harvest in May 2011 with an auction result of SEK 84,000.00 (€ 9,454.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still life with flowers and fruit von Erling Ärlingsson im April 2012 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 18.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 15.500,00 (€ 1.741,10) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erling Ärlingsson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harvest im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 84.000,00 (€ 9.454,09).
