Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Street at Night by Erik Bulatov was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 176,400.00 (€ 210,408.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Erik Bulatov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Glory to the CPSU in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,084,500.00 (€ 1,418,483.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Street at Night von Erik Bulatov wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 176.400,00 (€ 210.408,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erik Bulatov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Glory to the CPSU im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.084.500,00 (€ 1.418.483,44).
