In December 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection, which included the work Sky and Sea by Erik Bulatov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,007,200.00 (€ 1,201,378.34), 26% above the upper estimate. Other works by Erik Bulatov have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,084,500.00 (€ 1,418,483.44) in February 2008 for the work Glory to the CPSU.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sky and Sea von Erik Bulatov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.007.200,00 (€ 1.201.378,34) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Erik Bulatov haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.084.500,00 (€ 1.418.483,44) im Februar 2008 für die Arbeit Glory to the CPSU beobachtet.
