Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Urban Painting by Erik Bulatov was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 189,000.00 (€ 225,437.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Erik Bulatov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Glory to the CPSU in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,084,500.00 (€ 1,418,483.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Urban Painting von Erik Bulatov wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 189.000,00 (€ 225.437,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erik Bulatov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Glory to the CPSU im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.084.500,00 (€ 1.418.483,44).
