The work Geschnittene Kreise (Segmented Circles) by Erich Buchholz was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2013. It achieved a price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,507.69), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Admittedly, works by Erich Buchholz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work „Neue Tafel Nr. 10“. in November 2013 with an auction result of EUR 112,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Geschnittene Kreise (Segmented Circles) von Erich Buchholz kam im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.507,69) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erich Buchholz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit „Neue Tafel Nr. 10“. im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 112.500,00.
