In June 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art, which included the work Wounded Soldiers In A Casualty Clearing Station by Eric Kennington. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,253.06), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Eric Kennington have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trees at the Somme in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,900.00 (€ 73,095.75).

Im Juni 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wounded Soldiers In A Casualty Clearing Station von Eric Kennington zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.253,06) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eric Kennington auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Trees at the Somme im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.900,00 (€ 73.095,75).
