This artwork by Eric Kennington achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2016. In the Brian Sewell - Critic & Collector auction, the work Nude Study (No. 1) sold for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,857.41) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eric Kennington have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trees at the Somme in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,900.00 (€ 73,095.75).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Eric Kennington erzielte im September 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Brian Sewell - Critic & Collector wurde die Arbeit Nude Study (No. 1) für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.857,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eric Kennington auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Trees at the Somme im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.900,00 (€ 73.095,75).
