Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eric Fischl could be acquired at Phillips in New York in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work On the Beach, Blue changed hands for USD 6,350.00 (€ 5,815.02) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eric Fischl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Old Man's Boat and the Old Man's Dog in May last year with an auction result of USD 4,140,000.00 (€ 3,857,981.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eric Fischl konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wechselte die Arbeit On the Beach, Blue für USD 6.350,00 (€ 5.815,02) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eric Fischl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Old Man's Boat and the Old Man's Dog im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.140.000,00 (€ 3.857.981,55).
