Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eric Erskine Campbell Tufnell could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work Vittorio Veneto; and six companion works changed hands for USD 1,000.00 (€ 724.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Eric Erskine Campbell Tufnell have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2006 by the work H.M.S. Punjabi In Arctic Waters (Illustrated); H.M.S. Calder In A Heavy Swell; H.M.S. Inconstant In A Convoy; And H.M.S. Welfare Before The Forth Bridge at GBP 660.00 (€ 980.12).
