The work PLUM BLOSSOMS by Empress Dowager Cixi was worth USD 60,000.00 (€ 55,860.72) to a buyer in March 2015. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Empress Dowager Cixi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lotus, Root and Seed in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 312,380.66).

Die Arbeit PLUM BLOSSOMS von Empress Dowager Cixi war einem Käufer im März 2015 USD 60.000,00 (€ 55.860,72) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Empress Dowager Cixi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lotus, Root and Seed im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 312.380,66).
