Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy by Emperor Xuantong. It changed hands for a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,479.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Other works by Emperor Xuantong have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2019 the work Five-Character Poem in Running Script was auctioned for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,995.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Emperor Xuantong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.479,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Emperor Xuantong konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2019 die Arbeit Five-Character Poem in Running Script für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.995,37) versteigert.
