In the Prints & Photographs auction, the work Subsidence Craters on Yucca Flat, Nevada Test Site sold for USD 2,176.00 (€ 1,901.77) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emmet Gowin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concerning America and Alfred Stieglitz, and Myself. Richmond, Virginia: by the photographer, 1965. in May 2010 with an auction result of GBP 39,650.00 (€ 46,455.48).
