Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Etude De Fleurs by Emmanuel Sougez was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in November 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,875.00. Admittedly, works by Emmanuel Sougez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pommes De Terre, 1930 in November 2008 with an auction result of EUR 13,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Etude De Fleurs von Emmanuel Sougez im November 2016 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.875,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emmanuel Sougez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pommes De Terre, 1930 im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 13.750,00.
