This artwork by Emmanuel Cooper achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2017. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Large Blue Bowl sold for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,195.39) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Emmanuel Cooper; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bowl sold at auction in September 2019 with the realized price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,347.15).
