Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art Day Sale, which included the work Purbeck Blue Angel by Emily Young. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 55,771.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emily Young have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Time Boy in June this year with an auction result of GBP 478,800.00 (€ 557,240.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Purbeck Blue Angel von Emily Young zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 55.771,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emily Young auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Time Boy im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 478.800,00 (€ 557.240,77).
