Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Environs De Tanger by Emilio Sánchez Perrier was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in February 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,561.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emilio Sánchez Perrier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spanish at The Mouth Of The Grand Canal, Santa Maria Della Salute In The Distance, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 122,500.00 (€ 85,211.46).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.561,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
