Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

In the European Art Part II auction, the work A Midday'S Rest sold for USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,464.75) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emilio Sánchez Perrier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spanish at The Mouth Of The Grand Canal, Santa Maria Della Salute In The Distance, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 122,500.00 (€ 85,211.46).
