Auction result well in line with expectations
The work L'étang à Friaucourt, Ault (Picardie) by Emilio Sánchez Perrier was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,170.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Emilio Sánchez Perrier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spanish at The Mouth Of The Grand Canal, Santa Maria Della Salute In The Distance in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 85,211.46).
